Asphalt Road Paving
Installing a new road on your property is a big project, and one that our paving contractors are ready to take on! With a solid foundation, proper grading and drainage, and high quality paving materials, you will have a reliable road for years to come.
Asphalt resurfacing is a cost effective way to get a new asphalt surface without needing to tear out your existing road. The process involves milling off a top layer of old asphalt, and laying down a fresh new layer of hot mix asphalt.
Potholes, crumbling and cracks on roads can be a hazard for drivers and cars. Prompt repair will improve road safety as well as protect your asphalt sub base from water damage. We offer asphalt repair for all kinds of road problems.
Benefits of Road Resurfacing
Proper maintenance, like crack sealing and prompt pothole repair, will keep your road’s foundation in good condition. But when extensive damage is noted, it may be time for road resurfacing. Resurfacing, aka mill & overlay, removes alligator cracks, corrects uneven surfaces, and other blemishes in the road pavement. A resurfaced road has a completely new pavement surface and the life of your road is extended 20 years or so, at a fraction of the cost of a full asphalt replacement.
What Options Do I Have For Pothole Patching?
Pothole repair and patching is a common asphalt repair job we encounter. Patching can be completed with cold, warm, or hot mix asphalt. Cold mix “throw and go” or “throw and roll” is a good stop-gap patching method to use in cold weather when asphalt plants are not operational, but it doesn’t address underlying pavement damage.
A longer-lasting method of pothole repair involves several more steps, including cutting and filling with stone, and compacting the new base layer. It is considered a permanent fix and utilizes hot liquid asphalt for the pothole repair. In any case, we always use quality materials on your roads that will provide the necessary support for heavy traffic and withstand future wear and tear.
